Driver golf stance
· In order to hit up on your driver, you want the golf ball more forward in your stance. Now, I personally love to use the Rimer Ball Position Trainer when I work on ball position with my students. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a super simple training aid that uses an alignment ruler and slider to mark the perfect ball www.doorway.ruted Reading Time: 8 mins. · The ball position with the driver should be farthest forward, just inside your left heel, then move progressively farther back until you get to your wedges, which should reside squarely in the Estimated Reading Time: 2 mins. · When you take your driver stance, tilt your wrists upward, pulling the club head up off the ground so it’s out in front of you. The stance gets wider with the longer golf clubs (widest with the driver) The ball position is mostly in the middle of the stance, but as you move to hybrids, woods, and drivers, it will move towards your front foot. The standard golf stance is about shoulder width apart with your feet; narrow stance golfers will have their feet even closer than this. Something you will notice about golfers with a narrow stance is that they tend to stand a bit more upright when they address the golf ball.
